NOTE: Pegasus Technologies
is in the final stages of designing a successor module,
and we are no longer taking new customers for this product. For more information on the timing
and capabilities of the new module, call Jim Pearce at 865-717-9339 ext. 201.
Pegasus Technologies, Inc. is pleased to present the PTSS2003 902 - 928 MHz Transceiver. Unlike its
predecessor, the PTSS2000, which was only offered
as a design package, you can purchase this transceiver as a module
for use in your product. This device has successfully passed FCC and Canada compliance testing and
has been granted modular certification.
Also, an FCC-approved low-power version for 902-928 MHz and an
ETSI-tested low power European market version for 868 MHz are also available for your applications
requiring less power, exceptional battery life, and ultra-cool operation see our
RF Products page). 433 MHz versions for the Asian market are under development.
Even better, new production efficiencies and increasing volume have allowed us to slash our prices!
A Developer's Kit, which can help you incorporate this module into your design, is also available.
PTSS2003 Specifications
Product Overview
The PTSS2003 is a compact, ready-to-use, FCC-certified Frequency Hopping Spread
Spectrum transceiver that operates in the license-free 902-928 MHz band. It is
ideal for OEM applications that require a wireless data connection, and it
can also be easily integrated into existing systems. This versatile module will
simplify the task of using wireless to send and receive data, using the latest
RFIC technology and a customizable TI MSP430 microcontroller.
The PTSS2003 can work in systems with or without an external processor. In situations
where there is no host for the system or for specialized applications,
Pegasus can easily customize the microcontroller firmware to meet your needs.
Low operating power requirements and very low power consumption in shut down mode
make this the ideal module for applications where long battery life is important.
